“Be ye followers of me, even as I also am of Christ,” Paul admonished the saints of Corinth. Paul was an example to follow, but only a secondary example. During his entire life and service the Apostle sought to reproduce the behaviour and ministry of his beloved Master, the Lord Jesus. As one in the very front rank with his eye upon the leader is able to govern his way of marching by a perfect example in his captain, so, he tells the Corinthians in the ranks behind to follow him as he was following the Lord.

Donald Taylor focuses our eyes upon the perfect example, Chris’.. His article in the “Devotional” section, “How Jesus Walked,” reveals some of the moral glories of Jehovah’s perfect Servant. How we admire them! How we ought to imitate them!

Brother Jardine, in his second article of a series on the person and work of the Holy Spirit entitled “The Program of the Holy Spirit,” teaches us that the only source of power to follow the Lord Jesus in any measure is the divine power imparted by the Divine Spirit. The articles of this series have been prepared carefully and prayerfully, and merit close attention.

“Mark, a Successful Failure,” by Ross Rainey is the second biographical sketch of John Mark, a somewhat complex character in the New Testament, that has appeared in Food for the Flock. Brother Rainey has approached his subject in a very sympathetic manner, and his analysis of John Mark’s actions is constructive; consequently, he has a positive message for the young Christian of today. May each who reads learn that lesson, and live more like the Master and for the Master.

Some may disagree with Wylam Price as “Beside the Shepherds’ Tents,” he contends for a sympathetic study of the entire Word of God in the Sunday School. There are some who feel that nothing but the gospel should be presented to the children. There are others who feel that in as simple a way as is possible the doctrine of God, of Christ, of man, of the atonement, etc., should be taught. It would appear that a carefully prepared scheme of simple biblical expositions from the whole Bible would accomplish both of these objectives. The article, “Let Us Sow More Seed,” presents a strong challenge to every worker among the children.

From time to time the question is raised as to whether or not the Church will go through the Great Tribulation. We are grateful to John Bramhall who has submitted these statements on prophecy by the highly esteemed William Lincoln, a most capable exponent among the assemblies of earlier years. May this article stablish, settle, and strengthen the readers.
