The esteemed author has given us another splendid exposition of the Word of God in his usual, lucid and popular style. This devotional commentary on Paul’s First Epistle to the Corinthians is not as technical as some (It is not intended so to be.), but it is more readable than most.
Dr. Blair is loyal to the orthodox, evangelical position, and believes that God’s message to the Corinthians is relevant to us today.
The 40 chapters are practical and interesting; they contain a wealth of illustrative material which helps to clarify many salient points. Where further explanation is needed, it is given; and where historical information illuminates a passage, it is provided. One feels in reading through the book the pertinency of the present-day application.
The tone of the entire volume is one of fidelity to the Word of God and devotion to Christ. We highly recommend it to our readers.
