This devotional study of the Book of Jonah is not only instructive and challenging, it is refreshing. The emphasis of the exposition is upon the missionary aspect of Jonah’s ministry. It also stresses the need of implicit obedience to the will of the Lord in special service. The penalty of carnality is disclosed, and the grace and patience of God in restoration and instruction are clearly traced, and all to the spiritual profit of him who reads.
While certain technicalities are not treated, and no attempt is made to combat the evil notions of infidelity, the message presented is for the spiritual who discern all things.
