It was good to hear from you, and I rejoice with you to know believers are being helped through the ministry in “Food for the Flock.”
Thank you for the two letters giving the two reactions to the articles on “Demonology.” Believers (at least some of them), seem woefully ignorant of the limited power of both the devil and evil spiritual beings over true “born again” men and women. Christ Jesus our Lord fully accomplished the work for which He was manifested. “For this purpose the Son of God was manifested, that He might destroy the works of the devil” (1 John 3:8). Therefore, now all spiritual powers ( both good and bad) are subject to Him, “Jesus Christ: Who is gone into heaven, and is on the right hand of God; angels and authorities and powers being made subject unto Him” (1 Pet. 3:22). As the Only Begotten of God He is able to keep His own from the evil one. “We know that any one born of God does not sin, but He Who was born of God keeps him, and the evil one does not touch him” (1 John 5:18 R.S.V.).
I replied to Miss S.’s letter, and I see on re-reading your letter that you would like to see a copy of my reply; I am sorry, I did not keep one, but I am sure that she would let you see it.
I say it kindly, but the tract on “Demon Obession” is far from being based on Scripture. I would like to see your reply to Mrs. T.
