One has said, “The Christian life is a battlefield, not a playground.” This is certainly true for those Christians who take their walk seriously, for the greater the desire to walk and serve the Lord in accordance with His Word, the greater will be the onslaught of the enemy.
This being true, why is it that we spend so much time teaching young people how to play, rather than how to do battle with a powerful enemy. Much of our time, energy, and resources goes into giving them a good time, but sadly, in many cases, their training for spiritual battle is minimal. We need to ask ourselves, “Are we preparing our young people for a life of play , or a spiritual battle?
