God Sings
God Sings! — That is a marvelous statement!
God Sings! When a Soul is Converted! — That transcends imagination!
“The Lord thy God in the midst of thee is MIGHTY; He will SAVE, He will REJOICE OVER THEE WITH JOY; He will rest in His love, He will JOY OVER THEE WITH SINGING!!” (Zeph. 3:17). Even the Hallelujah Chorus sung by the hosts of heaven could never compare to the melody of our God SINGING! Imagination cannot conceive of music like that! In Hebrews 2:12, the Lord Jesus says, “I will SING praise unto thee!” What glory! What melody! Once in the Old Testament and once in the New Testament it speaks of our God SINGING! Did you notice that in Luke 15:10 it does not say the angels of God rejoice over one sinner that repents? It says, “there is JOY in the PRESENCE of the angels of God over one sinner that repenteth.” Who is in the presence of the angels of God? Of course, God Himself! How does He express His joy? The prophet Zephaniah says, through the Holy Spirit, “He will JOY over thee with SINGING!” Doesn’t that put a new light on soul winning? Every time a soul is led to repentance there is melody in Heaven — not by angels nor by any created being, but by God Himself! GOD SINGS! Just to meditate on that thrills the soul! But GOD SINGS WHEN ONE SINNER REPENTETH — Ah, that beggars description!
