The God of...

“The God of…”

He is the God who meets all our needs in every aspect of life:

He is the God of the Living and actively involved in the details of every day life – “He is not the God of the dead, but of the living. Ye therefore greatly err.”       (Mark 12:27)

He is the God of patience and consolation who patiently helps and heals us in our emotional distress – “Now the God of patience and consolation grant you to be likeminded one toward another according to Christ Jesus”   (Romans 15:5)

He is the God of hope who lifts our hearts above hopeless situations – “Now the God of hope fill you with all joy and peace in believing, that ye may abound in hope, through the power of the Holy Spirit” (Romans 15:15)

He is the God of all comfort who comforts us in all the hurts that may come our way – “Blessed be God, even the Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of mercies, and the God of all comfort; Who comforteth us in all our tribulation, that we may be able to comfort them which are in any trouble, by the comfort wherewith we ourselves are comforted of God.”     (2 Cor. 1: 3-4)

He is the God of peace who gives peace to those who continually trust in Him and do His will – “Those things, which ye have both learned, and received, and heard, and seen in me, do: and the God of peace shall be with you.” (Phil. 4:9)

He is the God of all grace who establishes us and makes us strong even in the midst of trial -  “But the God of all grace, who hath called us unto his eternal glory by Christ Jesus, after that ye have suffered a while, make you perfect, establish, strengthen, settle you.” (1 Peter 5:10)

He is the God of Love who reminds us regularly that we are special to Him - “ Finally, brethren, farewell. Be perfect, be of good comfort, be of one mind, live in peace; and the God of love and peace shall be with you.”   (2 Cor. 13:11)
