Consistency

Consistency—we expect it from the newspaper boy, the weatherman, the
local restaurant, our employer, and basically from anyone with whom we
do business. Unfortunately inconsistency characterizes many saints and
it consequently impacts their marriages and assemblies. In the assembly
it is seen most evidently in sporadic attendance.

It is difficult to function as a body of believers when you never know
what members will be in attendance. Imagine in our own bodies if
various members functioned on an inconsistent basis.  We would have a
medical crisis! So too in the spiritual realm! Consistent attendance is
not only important for individual saints, but it is vital for the
proper functioning of the local assembly. Are you consistent?  Can you
be counted on? (Heb. 10:25)
