The Bible tells us "whosoever shall keep the whole law, and yet offend in one
point, he is guilty of all." (James 2:10) The world would see nine out of ten as
excellent, God sees it as unacceptable. This shows us the difference between a Holy God,
and fallen man. To man almost perfect is good enough, but not so with a Holy God. With Him
anything less than perfection is unacceptable.
Isn't it a wonderful to know that a Holy God who expects absolute perfection accepted
the work of His Son, Jesus Christ, on the cross. This He demonstrated by raising Him from
dead. This truth provides peace to the believer. (Rom. 5: 1) There is no fear that one sin
went unjudged, for had that been the case God would not have accepted the work of His Son.
But every sin was judged and a Holy God was satisfied!
